In addition, they provide staff with training materials and content to educate and raise awareness about infection prevention.

Water NEA not only seeks to be of the highest quality and with a minimal impact on the environment, but also wants to transform an everyday gesture into a unique and inspiring experience. Each container is an invitation to connect with the ocean and leave a positive and memorable mark. Its commitment goes beyond eliminating single-use plastics: water NEA also promotes coral reef restoration projects, bringing life back to our oceans and protecting their wealth for future generations.

Ocean Window is an innovative leisure program developed by HOVIMA La Pinta Beachfront Family Hotel with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of the marine ecosystem in the south of Tenerife. Our purpose is to merge our guests' experience with leisure activities, thus generating significant differentiation and strengthening our commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility.

At HOVIMA Jardín Caleta we collaborate with Too Good To Go, since we are in continuous search for sustainable solutions. We have declared war on food waste, which allows us to offer low prices and socially contribute our grain of sand. We are delighted with the success we have had so far.

LET'S FIGHT FOOD WASTE TOGETHER!

Every year we have a new opportunity to assert our commitment to the environment, its biodiversity and to maintain the balance of our marine ecosystem. At the end of October, young birds leave the nest on their first trip to the sea and, dazzled by the lighting of coastal developments, fall disoriented to the ground. At HOVIMA La Pinta Beachfront Family Hotel / HOVIMA Jardín Caleta we join the initiative “The first trip” and help them reach the sea.

With this initiative, 3,254 specimens were collected in Tenerife in 2023 and 97% were released into the sea.

With the "paperless" initiative we strive to reduce or completely eliminate the use of paper in various activities and processes. This approach seeks to promote efficiency, sustainability and digitalization by encouraging the use of digital technologies for the creation, distribution and storage of information instead of relying on traditional paper.

Our goal is to remove all unnecessary paper and provide all the information you need in our app.

Did you know that every time we clean your room, we use: 35 liters of water, 100 ml of cleaning chemicals, and 1.5 kWh of electricity? Did you know that one-third of the food produced worldwide is wasted? In our kitchen, we're working to change this reality. That's why we've implemented Orbisk technology, which automatically identifies what type of food is being thrown away, in what quantity, and at what time of day. With this information, we optimize our orders, reduce waste, and contribute to a more sustainable future. Every dish counts. Every decision adds up.

Regarding waste, the three “Rs” define our waste policy.

We reduce what we generate to the maximum, we also reuse with the philosophy of converting waste into resources, giving them at least a second use.

Everything that we no longer use such as bedding, furniture, we refer to social entities. And finally we recycle, both in the customer area and in the employee area, there are selective bins to separately deposit the fractions of paper and cardboard, packaging and plastics, and glass.
